Rakesh Wahi, M.D., appeals the district courts judgment dismissing his numerous state and federal claims brought against Charleston Area Medical Center, Inc. ("CAMC") regarding the suspension of his medical privileges. The district court concluded most of Wahis claims were barred because CAMC qualified for immunity from suit under the Health Care Quality Improvement Act ("HCQIA" or "the Act"), 42 U.S.C.A. Â§ 11101, et seq. (West 2005). For this reason, and because the district court found Wahis other claims failed on the merits, the court awarded CAMC and Dr. Glenn Crotty summary judgment. For the reasons set forth below, we affirm the judgment of the district court.
